Our client, a well established professional services firm providing comprehensive financial solutions, is currently seeking an Accountant to manage client accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
What is expected of you?
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial record keeping.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with local regulations and client requirements.
- Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations for various accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain general ledgers and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Liaise with clients to resolve accounting queries and provide financial advice.
- Utilise accounting software, specifically SAGE, for daily operations and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
What are you expected to bring?
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within a client accounting environment.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Demonstrable experience with SAGE accounting software.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- A strong understanding of VAT regulations and technical aspects of client accounting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High level of organisation and proven ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to acting responsibly and ethically with sensitive financial information.
