One of our top clients is currently seeking an Accounts Manager to oversee the day-to-day finance operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth accounting processes, and effective team supervision while working closely with the Group CFO.
What's expected of you?
- Lead, support, and oversee the daily activities of the junior accounting team.
- Review accounting entries and ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal procedures.
- Coordinate invoicing, receivables, and debt collection processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments where required.
- Prepare and oversee payment runs in line with company policies and cash flow requirements.
- Manage bank reconciliations, cash movements, and treasury-related transactions.
- Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance support to junior team members.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and journal entries.
- Ensure trial balances and accounting records are fully reconciled and completed within deadlines.
- Support the preparation of management accounts, KPI reporting, and financial analysis.
- Provide accurate financial schedules, reporting commentary, and ad hoc insights to support decision-making.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Assist with audit processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting procedures and reporting efficiency.
What are you expected to bring?
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and month-end reporting processes.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supervising finance team members.
- Highly organised with strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within tight deadlines.
- Proven experience within an accounting supervisory or management position.
- Currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification.
- Hands-on experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and period-end close activities.
- Prior experience overseeing a small finance team would be considered an asset.
