CeekTalent, in partnership with a well-established architectural company, is seeking an Architectural professional to join their team. Are you able to design new projects, alterations, and redevelopments using your construction knowledge and drawing skills to create functional, safe, sustainable, and visually appealing buildings, while providing technical support and overseeing construction to ensure quality and durability?
What is expected of you?
- Conduct research, programming, planning, design, and project administration for clients, utilizing expertise in structural engineering, construction detailing, construction methods, zoning and building codes, and material and building systems.
- Support the preparation of feasibility studies, planning documents, valuations, and other project documentation, including assisting with proposal submissions.
- Perform or oversee research on materials and building systems, and contribute to the coordination and preparation of project specifications.
- Conduct desktop and site-based research, prepare estimates of works, and compile Bills of Quantities.
- Prepare structural calculations and detailed drawings, ensuring appropriate materials are selected for new builds, conversions, or renovations.
- Develop work plans, recommend task prioritization, and coordinate with clients and contractors regarding technical matters and project timelines.
- Assist construction teams and contractors on-site by providing guidance on structural issues and responding to queries throughout the construction phase.
- Evaluate and certify completed work, verifying quantities and ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
- Perform any additional tasks required within the scope of structural engineering responsibilities.
What are you expected to bring?
- Accredited and recognized MQF Level 7 degree in Architecture
- Preferred: Warrant to practice as a Perit in Malta
- Minimum of two years post-graduate professional work experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, SketchUp, and Photoshop
- Strong technical and design capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to engage effectively with clients
- Good working knowledge of local planning policies and building regulations
- Demonstrated technical design excellence and thorough understanding of relevant approval processes
- Ability to attend site meetings and inspections, and accurately record minutes or reports as required
