CeekTalent are working in partnership with a well established Architectural Company are seeking an architectural assistant to work alongside architects, urban designers, and civil and structural engineers on new developments, refurbishments, and redevelopment projects
What is expected of you?
- Support the research, programming, planning, design, and administration of client projects by applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction methods, zoning regulations, building codes, and material systems
- Contribute to the preparation of high-quality visualisations, as well as feasibility studies, planning documents, valuations, and other supporting materials, including assistance with proposal submissions
- Carry out both desktop and on-site research to inform project development and decision-making
- Assist in preparing estimates of works and Bills of Quantities, including quantity take-offs presented in both tabulated and drawing formats
- Undertake measurement and quantification of works with accuracy and attention to detail
- Support the preparation of technical proposals and reports for submission to relevant authorities, and assist with required follow-up actions
- Perform a range of practical and administrative duties to ensure the smooth progress of projects
- Provide additional support as required across architectural, urban design, civil, and structural projects
What are you expected to bring?
- A minimum MQF Level 4 qualification in Construction Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related equivalent discipline
- Ability to carry out measured building surveys accurately and efficiently
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong technical aptitude combined with sound design capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous knowledge of local planning policies, building regulations, and compliance requirements, preferred
- Outgoing, creative, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
