Our client, a well established organisation in the finance sector, is currently seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to support the financial operations and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
What is expected of you?
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Manage and oversee month end and year end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
- Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc financial analysis, projects, and process improvements.
- Maintain robust internal controls and contribute to the development of financial procedures.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide insights.
What are you expected to bring?
- Possess a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reconciliations.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
- Show excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Display a hands on approach and a strong sense of ownership for deliverables.
