Our client, a well established financial services firm in Malta, is currently seeking an Auditor to contribute to their audit engagements and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
What is expected of you?
- Plan and perform statutory audits for a diverse client portfolio.
- Audit financial statements prepared under GAPSME and IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, including the Maltese Companies Act.
- Adhere to professional standards such as International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
- Comply with internal quality procedures and methodologies.
- Conduct risk assessments and design appropriate audit procedures.
- Perform substantive testing and tests of controls effectively.
- Prepare complete and accurate audit working papers.
- Evaluate accounting policies and financial reporting practices.
What are you expected to bring?
- Hold a recognised accounting qualification, such as ACCA, ACA, or CPA, or be in the final stages of completion.
- Possess proven experience in an audit role, preferably within a professional services firm in Malta.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of GAPSME, IFRS, and ISAs.
- Be familiar with the Maltese Companies Act and other relevant local legislation.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Be proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Show the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
