Ceek Talent is working on behalf of a leading Maltese winery, renowned for its authenticity, heritage, and award-winning wines, to recruit a commercially driven Business Development Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who combines a passion for wine with strong relationship-building and sales skills, and who thrives in the HORECA environment. You will play a key role in expanding market presence, strengthening client partnerships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
What is expected of you?

Develop and grow business relationships within the HORECA sector, including hotels, restaurants, and catering establishments

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing tailored wine recommendations based on menus, concepts, pricing, and customer preferences

Identify new business opportunities and actively convert leads into long-term partnerships

Educate clients on Maltese wines, grape varietals, vintages, and current wine trends

Promote and upsell featured wines and portfolio products to meet and exceed sales targets

Ensure brand visibility and consistency through well-presented, on-brand wine displays

Support seasonal promotions, tastings, industry events, and wine festivals

Share market insights, competitor activity, and client feedback with internal teams to support continuous improvement
What are you expected to bring?

A genuine passion for wine and a strong commercial mindset

Previous experience in business development, sales, hospitality, or customer-facing roles (HORECA experience is highly preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels within the hospitality industry

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a dynamic client portfolio

Solid knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and food pairings (WSET Level 3 or equivalent is considered an asset)

Availability to work Monday to Friday (10:00–19:00), with occasional weekends for events and promotions
