Compliance Analyst – Financial Crime - Malta

Are you ready to take on a dynamic role where you’ll lead customer due diligence, support AML/CFT audits, assist with onboarding systems, and contribute to internal compliance policies, training, and regulatory reporting? Sounds interesting? We at Ceek would love to hear from you! 

 

What is expected of you?

  • Carry out customer due diligence (KYC/KYB) processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of a customer onboarding and risk management platform.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address technical queries related to financial crime.
  • Conduct AML and CFT audits, assessments, and reviews.
  • Assist in AML/CFT-related projects, including investigations and remediation work.
  • Perform AML/CFT risk assessments and gap analyses across a variety of industries.
  • Develop and implement AML/CFT policies, procedures, and frameworks tailored to client needs.
  • Advise clients on AML/CFT regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Assist the Compliance team in drafting and maintaining internal policies, manuals, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of internal compliance training programmes.
  • Help prepare periodic regulatory reports for submission to relevant authorities.
  • Stay current with local and international AML/CFT legislation, guidance, and industry trends.

 

What are you expected to bring?

  • A university degree (or equivalent) in law, financial services, criminology, compliance, risk management, or a related discipline.
  • A professional certification such as ACAMS, ICA, or ICBF is considered an asset.
  • Applications are welcome from professionals at all career levels and backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of local and international AML/CFT regulations and current industry developments (strongly preferred).
  • Experience in risk assessments, AML/CFT policy development, and investigative work is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • A determined, resilient attitude with a strong drive to meet goals.
  • A proactive, can-do mindset with a willingness to continuously learn and grow.
  • A reliable team player who can also work independently and take initiative when necessary.
