Join a leading international financial services group in Malta as a Compliance & AML/CFT Assistant Manager and become part of a growing Regulatory Services team supporting a diverse portfolio of financial services clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional looking to further develop their expertise within investment services, fintech, payments and regulated financial services environments. You will play a key role in delivering compliance, AML/CFT and regulatory support services while working closely with Compliance Officers, MLROs and senior stakeholders.
What is expected of you?
- Support appointed Compliance Officers, MLROs and senior management in the delivery of regulatory services
- Implement and maintain compliance monitoring programmes across multiple client structures
- Develop, review and update compliance policies, procedures, manuals and checklists
- Conduct business, customer and jurisdictional risk assessments
- Prepare compliance and MLRO reports for Boards and Compliance Committees
- Assist with regulatory submissions to competent authorities
- Perform and review AML/CFT customer file reviews and ongoing monitoring activities
- Deliver compliance and AML/CFT training where required
- Monitor regulatory developments and provide updates to senior management
What are you expected to bring?
- Minimum 4 years of experience within Malta's financial services sector
- Experience within investment services, fintech, payments or other regulated financial services environments
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, compliance monitoring and risk assessment frameworks
- Familiarity with investment funds and financial services structures
- Knowledge of MFSA and FIAU regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong organisational skills with a meticulous and methodical approach
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
