Would you be interested in joining an internationally focused financial services firm in Malta as a Compliance & Governance Assistant, supporting regulatory compliance and governance activities across multiple European jurisdictions? This opportunity offers hands-on exposure to regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, governance, and regulatory reporting within a growing Super ManCo environment supporting fund structures across Malta, Luxembourg, Ireland, Italy, and other EU markets.
What is expected of you?
- Support the maintenance and ongoing development of the firm’s compliance framework across multiple jurisdictions
- Assist in monitoring regulatory requirements and industry developments
- Support the drafting, updating, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures
- Assist in the execution of the Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP)
- Support compliance reviews, controls testing, and follow-up of remediation actions
- Maintain compliance records, trackers, logs, and regulatory documentation
- Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and reporting obligations
- Support governance processes and preparation of Board and management reporting packs
- Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure reporting deadlines are met
- Assist with AML/CFT monitoring activities and maintenance of due diligence records
- Support ongoing compliance projects, process improvements, and operational enhancements
- Take an active role in learning regulatory frameworks including UCITS, AIFMD, and AML/CFT requirements
What are you expected to bring?
- Approximately 2–3 years of experience in compliance, governance, financial services, administration, or a related field
- Interest in financial regulation, governance, and compliance frameworks
- Basic understanding of AML/CFT principles and regulatory environments would be considered an asset
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- A proactive, professional, and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work collaboratively while taking initiative and ownership of tasks
