Our client, an established manufacturing and distribution company serving Malta’s construction and infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative to join their team. This role combines deliveries to customers and construction sites across Malta with warehouse duties including loading, unloading, order preparation and stock handling.
What is expected of you?
- Deliver company products safely and efficiently to customers and construction sites across Malta
- Check delivery documentation and ensure the correct goods and quantities are loaded
- Safely load, unload and secure pipes, fittings and other products
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules while communicating any delays or issues
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and report defects or maintenance requirements
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean and presentable condition
- Assist with picking, preparing and checking customer orders
- Receive, move, stack and organise stock within the warehouse and yard
- Assist with stock counts and report damaged, missing or incorrectly labelled goods
- Operate forklifts, pallet trucks or other handling equipment when trained and authorised
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers, suppliers and site personnel
- Follow all health and safety, manual-handling and vehicle procedures
What are you expected to bring?
- A valid Maltese driving licence appropriate for the vehicles assigned to the role
- Category C or C1 with CPC is strongly preferred; candidates with a Category B1 licence may also be considered
- A valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) where required
- A responsible driving record and strong commitment to road safety
- The ability and willingness to carry out regular loading, unloading and manual-handling duties
- Good attention to detail when checking orders and delivery documentation
- Reliability, punctuality and good time-management skills
- The ability to communicate effectively in English
- A practical and cooperative approach with willingness to support warehouse operations
- Previous delivery driving, warehouse or distribution experience would be considered an asset, particularly experience transporting construction materials or bulky goods. Forklift experience would also be advantageous.
