One of our top clients is seeking a Design and Commissioning Engineer to specialize in the design, installation, and commissioning of building safety and protection systems. This role focuses on creating cost-effective, compliant solutions that meet client requirements while working closely with multiple departments to ensure smooth project execution.
What's expected of you?
- Develop detailed designs for building safety and protection systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Specify components and materials to meet project scope and client requirements
- Collaborate with project management and commercial teams to integrate designs into overall project plans
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation quality and system functionality
- Oversee the commissioning process to ensure systems operate as designed
- Perform tests and inspections to verify performance and compliance
- Monitor project progress to identify and resolve design or installation issues, maintaining timelines and quality standards
- Ensure all designs and installations meet industry regulations and company standards, including ISO and LPCB requirements
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including design revisions, calculations, and client communications
- Provide regular progress updates to management and stakeholders
- Mentor junior team members in design and commissioning best practices
- Lead internal training on new technologies and industry standards
What are you expected to bring?
- Hold a Mechanical Engineering warrant
- Experience in designing and commissioning building safety and protection systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant design software, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new digital tools and technologies
- Tech-savvy, comfortable using modern software and digital platforms to streamline design and project workflows
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations
