What is expected of you?
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services and adherence to key deadlines.
- Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, focusing on risk assessment, financial reporting, and complex accounting matters.
- Mentor, coach, and review the work of junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand existing engagements and develop new business.
- Provide technical guidance on accounting and auditing matters, including complex reporting issues and consolidations.
- Develop practical solutions to technical challenges and contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies and processes.
- Stay informed on local and international business developments, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
What are you expected to bring?
- A professional qualification such as ACCA or a recognised University Degree in Accountancy.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in external auditing and at least 2 years in a managerial or similar leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAPSME, IFRS, and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Experience in the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements.
- The ability to identify, assess, and manage sensitive and complex issues effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and highly motivated approach to work.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
