What is expected of you?
- Prepare monthly management statements promptly for financial review.
- Generate daily revenue reports and manage bank deposits.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process with Department Heads and the CFO.
- Prepare cash flow statements and other financial reports as requested by Senior Management.
- Accurately complete and submit VAT Returns on time.
- Collaborate with departments to analyze financial data for projects and business opportunities.
- Maintain robust internal financial controls.
- Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring efficient audit preparation and completion.
- Support the accounts team with cash settlements and accounts receivable monitoring.
- Monitor debtors and oversee credit control, providing regular updates to Senior Management.
- Supervise Finance Department staff to ensure compliance with internal policies and standards.
- Develop and implement finance policies and procedures in coordination with the CFO.
- Identify and recommend improvements to financial processes and systems.
- Provide training and development for accounting staff as required.
- Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned by Senior Management.
What are you expected to bring?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or finance, ideally including management responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting processes, and VAT compliance.
- Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel functions.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in audits and maintaining effective internal controls.
