Our client, a well-established organisation is seeking a Finance Manager to lead its Finance function. What is expected of you?
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day Finance and Accounting operations of the organisation
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, statutory accounts and periodic financial reports
- Review general ledger balances, journals, balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and business plans while monitoring performance and reporting variances
- Provide senior management with timely financial analysis and recommendations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations and applicable financial reporting requirements
- Manage working capital, including cash flow, stock, debtors and credit control
- Oversee payroll processing and payments to employees and subcontractors
- Review and strengthen internal financial controls, policies and procedures
- Support risk assessments and promote a strong risk management culture across the organisation
- Ensure Corporate Tax, VAT and other relevant returns and payments are submitted accurately and on time
- Take a leading role in the implementation and optimisation of ERP and accounting systems
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other external stakeholders
- Lead, motivate and develop the Finance team while driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the Finance function effectively supports the wider business
What are you expected to bring?
- Strong hands-on experience within a senior Finance or Accounting position
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and statutory financial reports
- Sound knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, taxation and internal financial controls
- Experience overseeing working capital, cash flow, payroll and credit control processes
- Previous experience managing, mentoring or supervising members of a Finance team
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial information into practical business recommendations
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience implementing or improving ERP and accounting systems would be considered an asset
- Previous experience within hospitality or another operationally intensive environment would be advantageous
