Financial Compliance Manager - Malta

Are you ready to take charge of a critical role as Financial Compliance Manager, where Ceek partners with a leading organisation in Malta. You will oversee financial regulatory compliance, monitor financial reporting and audit processes, and drive effective risk management practices. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will help ensure financial integrity, strong governance, and sustainable organisational growth.
 
What is expected of you?
  • Lead the oversight and review of licensees’ financial submissions, including audited financial statements, recapitalisation plans, periodic reports, and investment/loan notifications
  • Supervise the assessment of audit-related documentation such as management letters, player funds reports, agreed-upon procedures, and B2B compliance reports
  • Manage the approval process for audit service providers
  • Monitor industry trends, identify emerging risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Provide strategic financial guidance across Directorates and contribute to cross-functional initiatives
  • Drive team performance by setting and monitoring KPIs, optimising processes, and ensuring effective allocation of resources
  • Lead the development and execution of the annual operational plan, translating strategic objectives into measurable individual goals
  • Champion innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement through process enhancement and technology adoption
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability and professional growth
  • Represent the organisation in high-level meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality reports and briefings to senior management and governance bodies
  • Support recruitment efforts and contribute to building a strong, capable team
 
What are you expected to bring?
  • A Degree in Finance, Accounting, ACCA qualification or a related field (MQF Level 6 or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a people leadership role
  • Experience in a similar role and/or in strategic planning and project management will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Malta’s gaming regulatory framework will be considered an asset
  • Excellent command of English, with strong report-writing and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Highly organised, with the ability to structure, prioritise and delegate effectively
  • Self-driven, accountable and results-oriented
