What is expected of you?
- Deliver engaging and effective training sessions on various safety equipment and operational procedures.
- Conduct thorough inspections and perform routine maintenance on safety equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Develop, update, and customise training materials using Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Assess trainee performance through practical exercises and theoretical evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
- Ensure all training content and delivery methods comply with current health and safety regulations and risk assessment guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all training activities, participant attendance, and assessment results.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and management to identify training needs and continuously improve programme content.
- Communicate complex technical and safety information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
What are you expected to bring?
- Proven experience as an instructor or trainer, particularly within safety or technical operational environments.
- Demonstrable in depth knowledge of various safety equipment, its operation, and maintenance requirements.
- Proficiency in conducting inspections and performing basic maintenance tasks on safety equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for delivering clear and impactful safety instructions and technical training.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with individuals at all levels, including trainees, colleagues, and management.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for material development and record keeping.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practical experience with risk assessment methodologies.
