What is expected of you?
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants and assistants in line with the EOS management system
- Foster accountability, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback
- Support the professional development and growth of team members
- Promote a collaborative, high-performing team culture
- Allocate resources efficiently to ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Develop and improve accounting policies, software, and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Supervise all accounting and tax service operations, including preparation and timely submission of financial statements and tax returns
- Ensure compliance with Maltese statutory and regulatory requirements
- Oversee VAT filings, audits, payroll, and adherence to local and international accounting standards
What are you expected to bring?
- Possession of a professional qualification such as ACCA or equivalent
- At least two years of managerial experience
- Demonstrated leadership background in accounting and finance, including prior supervisory roles
- Strong technical knowledge of Maltese accounting and tax regulations, VAT compliance, statutory reporting, and international accounting standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide teams and work with senior management
- Excellent written and spoken command of the English language
