Our client, a well established and growing organisation within Maritime industry, is currently seeking a Head of Finance to oversee all financial aspects and drive strategic financial planning.
What is expected of you?
- Lead and manage the entire finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support business growth.
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and working capital effectively.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and tax compliance requirements in Malta and relevant jurisdictions.
- Provide strategic financial advice and insights to the senior leadership team.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department.
What are you expected to bring?
- Hold a recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or ACA.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Exhibit high integrity, sound judgment, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a finance team effectively.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
