HR Associate - Malta

HR Associate – Financial Services 


Are you an organised and proactive HR professional looking to grow your career within an international financial services environment? We are currently supporting a private financial services company in their search for a Permanent HR Associate to join their global HR function based in Malta. This is a full-time role offering exposure to international HR operations within a growing organisation.

What is expected of you?

  • Input and maintain accurate employee data within the HR Information System (HRIS)
  • Manage and maintain employee documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare data for international payrolls and liaise with third-party payroll providers
  • Support senior HR colleagues throughout the hiring process
  • Assist with international recruitment and internship programmes
  • Prepare equipment for new hires and coordinate employee orientations
  • Support onboarding processes and the creation of new employee accounts
  • Ensure employee data and system records are accurate and up to date
  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries
  • Support administrative tasks related to the end-of-year review process
  • Assist with compliance relating to international employment and legal requirements
  • Manage employee exit procedures and offboarding documentation
  • Support the digitisation of employee records
  • Carry out ad-hoc research, data gathering, and reporting tasks
  • Support the Global HR team with ad-hoc project work
  • Provide office and facilities management support as required

What are you expected to bring?

  • Previous experience in HR, administration, or coordination roles
  • Familiarity with HR systems would be considered an asset
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Interest in international employment law
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are an asset, particularly Italian or German
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word
