Are you an IFRS 17 expert ready to take ownership of a critical finance solution and become the go-to specialist within a leading organisation?
We are seeking an experienced IFRS 17 Product Owner / IFRS 17 Champion to take end-to-end ownership of the IFRS 17 calculation engine following the transition to a newly selected provider. This is a strategic role where you will act as the organisation’s subject matter expert, ensuring the solution remains robust, auditable, and fully aligned with regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with Finance, Actuarial, IT, and Data teams while managing vendor relationships, overseeing reporting cycles, and driving continuous improvements to enhance automation, controls, and reporting accuracy.
What's expected of you?
- Take full ownership of the IFRS 17 calculation engine across build, transition, and operational phases
- Define requirements, manage product backlogs, and oversee configuration and releases
- Act as the internal IFRS 17 expert, supporting Finance and Actuarial teams during reporting cycles
- Ensure strong governance, audit readiness, and process control across IFRS 17 operations
- Manage vendor relationships, monitor SLAs, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders
- Drive process improvements, automation, and ongoing regulatory alignment
What are you expected to bring?
- Strong hands-on understanding of IFRS 17 concepts such as CSM, RA, discounting, and cohorting
- Experience in Finance, Actuarial, Reporting, Risk, or Data functions
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Solution Owner
- Experience with IFRS 17 implementations or reporting cycles
- Familiarity with BI Solutions and Excel
- Familiarity with IFRS 17 solutions (e.g., Addactis, WTW, Moody’s, PathWise, or similar) is an advantage
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a structured, solutions-focused mindset
