Our client, an established insurance broking firm with a strong presence in Malta, is currently seeking an Insurance Broking Claims Manager to oversee and optimise their claims operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients.
What is expected of you?
- Manage and mentor a team of claims handlers, fostering a high performance and client centric culture.
- Oversee the entire claims lifecycle from notification to settlement, ensuring efficiency and adherence to policy terms.
- Act as a primary point of contact for complex or escalated claims, providing expert advice and resolution.
- Negotiate with insurers and third parties to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
- Ensure all claims activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance claims processes, reduce turnaround times, and improve client satisfaction.
- Prepare and present regular claims reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and performance metrics.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurers, loss adjusters, and other relevant stakeholders.
What are you expected to bring?
- Possess a minimum of five years' experience in insurance claims management, ideally within a broking environment.
- Demonstrate proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of various insurance products and claims procedures.
- Hold a relevant insurance qualification or certification.
- Show excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Be highly organised, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.

- Be proficient in using claims management software and standard office applications.
