Internal Audit Manager - Malta

What’s expected of you?

  • Lead and conduct internal audit engagements across the Group following the approved annual audit plan and International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls at operational and corporate levels
  • Identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies, and compliance gaps while providing actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Coordinate audit fieldwork including risk assessments, data analysis, and testing procedures
  • Review and validate audit working papers and reports prepared by team members to ensure quality and consistency
  • Prepare detailed internal audit reports and present findings to management to support remediation and follow-up actions
  • Assess third-party reports and supplier audits to confirm adequate control coverage and compliance
  • Contribute to the creation of the annual risk-based audit plan
  • Assist the Head of Department with special reviews, investigations, and advisory assignments
  • Foster good governance, ethical practices, and continuous improvement across the Group


What are you expected to bring?

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A recognised professional qualification, such as ACCA, or,in the process of achieving one
  • At least five years of experience in internal or external audit, ideally within hospitality, real estate, or service industries
  • Experience leading or supervising audit assignments
  • Strong analytical, report-writing, and communication skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment
  • Willingness to travel overseas periodically to audit Group properties
