Ceek Talent is looking on behalf of our client for a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. You will assist with technical drawings, submittals, and quantity take-offs to ensure projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.
What is expected of you?
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical building systems based on guidance from senior engineers
- Update drawings based on design changes or client feedback
- Keep drawing files and document records organized and up to date
- Prepare coordination drawings and work closely with other trades for site execution
- Assist in designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Support basic load calculations and equipment sizing under supervision
- Contribute to value engineering to improve system performance and reduce costs
- Help prepare cost estimates based on drawings and project specifications
- Review tender documents and assist in preparing estimation sheets and BOQs
- Work with the procurement team to support pricing and cost planning
- Perform accurate material quantity take-offs from tender and construction drawings
- Update material lists as designs change
- Assist in preparing technical submittals in line with project requirements
- Coordinate with suppliers to collect required technical documents and specifications
- Support project engineers by responding to site and subcontractor queries
- Attend coordination meetings and record key action points
- Visit sites to check installation progress and ensure work follows approved designs
- Ensure all drawings and designs comply with relevant codes and standards
- Stay informed about new technologies and industry regulations
- Collaborate with electrical, civil, and other teams for smooth project coordination
- Provide technical and administrative support to senior engineers and project managers
- Take part in training programs to improve technical skills
What are you expected to bring?
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software
- Understanding of mechanical drawings and construction documents
- Ability to perform quantity take-offs and support cost estimation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and document control skills
- Ability to work well in a team and coordinate with different disciplines
- Strong communication skills for site and supplier coordination
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced project environment
- Basic knowledge of industry standards and building regulations
