Are you experienced in logistics, shipping and customs and looking for your next career opportunity within the marine and yachting services sector? We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join an established team, coordinating the movement of materials, customs documentation, cargo and warehouse activities while ensuring a high level of service to clients.
What’s expected of you?
- Assist the Head of Department with daily logistics activities.
- Plan and coordinate transportation and movement of materials.
- Prepare shipping and customs documentation for imports and exports.
- Liaise with Malta Customs and handle customs documentation through NIS, NES and NCTS.
- Coordinate the shipping and receipt of goods to and from warehouses.
- Monitor and track cargo movements through to final destination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date warehouse inventory records.
- Liaise with local and overseas carriers to minimise delays and ensure smooth deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with international customs procedures, regulations and standards.
- Assist with purchasing and procurement when required.
- Prepare quotations and update the administrative system through to final invoicing.
- Maintain accurate administrative records and filing systems.
- Work closely with the Marine & Yard team to ensure smooth daily operations and avoid delays.
- Provide support to colleagues and contribute towards departmental targets.
What are you expected to bring?
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding or customs.
- Practical knowledge of import/export procedures and customs documentation.
- Experience with NIS, NES and/or NCTS would be highly advantageous.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills and confidence liaising with clients, carriers and authorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems.
- A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience within the marine, yachting, maritime or technical sector would be considered an asset.
- Fluent in Maltese and English
