Our client, an established investment and stockbroking firm, is currently seeking a Middle Office Regulatory Operations Officer to coordinate regulatory reporting, governance and operational control activities across the business.
What is expected of you?
- Prepare, coordinate and submit regulatory reports, returns, disclosures, certifications, questionnaires and notifications.
- Ensure regulatory filing deadlines and ongoing reporting obligations are effectively monitored and met.
- Support regulatory requirements arising from MiFID, MiFIR, MFSA Rules, MSE Bye-Laws, DORA, FATCA, CRS and other applicable frameworks.
- Maintain regulatory records, governance registers, outsourcing records and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate ongoing and periodic due diligence involving banks, custodians, service providers, counterparties and other stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory developments, industry guidance and supervisory expectations.
- Assist with the implementation of regulatory, governance and procedural changes across the business.
- Support the development and periodic review of policies, procedures, internal controls and operational documentation.
- Work closely with Operations, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance and Senior Management to support the company’s regulatory and operational obligations.
- Take ownership of assigned regulatory, governance and control responsibilities.
What are you expected to bring?
- A degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Law, Compliance, Risk Management or another relevant discipline.
- Previous exposure to financial services, regulatory reporting, compliance or a related environment would be advantageous.
- A good understanding of financial services regulation and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, regulatory obligations and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The confidence to interact professionally with regulators, auditors, service providers, internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Advanced IT literacy and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
