Supports the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) in the development, implementation, and review of architectural policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.

Conducts feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and related evaluations to determine the viability of proposed construction and renovation projects.

Leads the planning, design, and management of building and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with zoning laws, building codes, and industry standards.

Performs regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensuring projects adhere to budgetary constraints, timelines, and established specifications.

Ensures compliance with local and EU Health and Safety regulations across all construction and renovation activities.

Identifies and resolves project-related issues proactively, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and mitigate risks.

Facilitates cross-disciplinary coordination and maintains continuous communication among all internal and external project stakeholders.

Prepares detailed architectural drawings and technical documentation, outlining timelines, materials, cost estimates, and other critical project elements.

Develops and submits technical reports and documentation required for planning permits, development approvals, and regulatory compliance.

Consults with stakeholders to determine spatial and functional requirements, and presents comprehensive design proposals and project specifications.

Advocates for and integrates green and alternative technologies to enhance the energy performance of buildings in line with EU legislation.

Provides technical direction and oversight to design and construction teams, including draughtspersons, surveyors, and related professionals.

Participates in tender preparation and evaluation, including the certification of Bills of Quantities and verification of completed works against contractual terms.

Manages contractual variations and authorizes payment certifications in accordance with approved project scopes and conditions.

Provides architectural advice to the CTO and INDIS staff, supervises assigned team members, and prepares reports, attending meetings as required.

May be required to work outside office hours to meet project deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously across Malta and Gozo.

Undertakes site visits and fieldwork as necessary to support the planning and execution of ongoing projects.

Operates under the supervision of the CTO, project leader, or other designated personnel, depending on the nature and scope of the assigned project.

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, tools, methodologies, and policies related to construction, planning, and company operations.

Consults with the CTO or designated personnel to address sensitive or strategically important issues requiring guidance or resolution.

Coordinates and communicates effectively with contractors, tenants, internal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
