We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Manager with a strong corporate law and corporate services background to lead a team supporting a growing portfolio of international clients. This senior role involves managing and developing a team of Corporate Managers, providing technical oversight, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant corporate services. You will work closely with international clients and professional advisers, including banks, accounting firms, and law firms, and act as a key escalation point for complex matters.
What is expected of you?
- Manage, train, and supervise a team of three Corporate Managers, each responsible for a portfolio of international clients.
- Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality corporate services.
- Foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture and support the ongoing professional development of team members.
- Drive departmental performance through effective planning, workload management, and resource allocation.
- Serve as a key escalation point for complex technical, regulatory, or client issues, both internally and externally.
- Review work prepared by the team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal standards and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to strengthen the team’s corporate law and corporate services expertise.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local corporate, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including AML and CSP licensing obligations
- Work closely with the internal compliance team, including the Compliance Manager, MLRO, Internal Risk Officer, and External Compliance Officer.
- Ensure the team operates in full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, escalating issues where appropriate.
What are you expected to bring?
- Proven experience in corporate law and/or corporate services
- Proven people management and leadership experience
- Experience working with international clients and professional advisers
- Excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills
- Educated to Diploma level or above
- Previous experience in Maltese Corporate Services.
