Our client, a leading financial services organisation with a strong presence in Malta, is currently seeking a Senior Executive Tax to manage and deliver comprehensive tax services to their diverse client portfolio.
What is expected of you?
- Oversee and review direct tax computations and refund claims for various entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and compliance documentation.
- Provide expert technical tax advice on domestic and international tax matters, including structuring and transaction implications.
- Conduct in depth research and analysis of tax legislation, identifying impacts on clients and operations.
- Prepare and review technical tax memos, opinions, and advisory notes.
- Assist private clients with tax residency schemes and related compliance.
- Support clients during tax audits and investigations, liaising with tax authorities.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their professional development.
What are you expected to bring?
- Possess a recognised professional accounting or tax qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or ADIT.
- Demonstrate a minimum of three years of professional experience specifically in tax advisory and compliance, preferably within a professional services firm in Malta.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of Maltese tax legislation and international tax principles.
- Have proven experience in direct tax compliance and advisory.
- Show excellent research, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Possess the ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines effectively.
- Display strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client centric approach.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and experience in mentoring junior staff.
- A Masters in Taxation or a similar advanced qualification.
- Experience with specific tax software solutions.
