Our client, an established organisation operating within Malta’s regulated financial services sector, is currently seeking a Senior Operations Manager in Financial Services to oversee and enhance business operations, coordinate cross-functional initiatives and drive operational efficiency across the organisation.
What is expected of you?
- Oversee and improve internal business processes, operational workflows and organisational efficiency.
- Coordinate operational activities and initiatives across Finance, HR, IT, Compliance, Risk and other business functions.
- Support the implementation of strategic and operational initiatives in collaboration with senior management.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation, operational transformation and continuous improvement.
- Lead and support technology enhancements, workflow automation and organisational change initiatives.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance processes and operational risk management practices.
- Coordinate operational preparation for regulatory inspections, audits and Board reviews.
- Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams to support regulatory requirements and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor operational performance, identify potential inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
- Prepare operational reports, management information and presentations for senior management.
- Contribute to business continuity, operational resilience and effective resource planning.
- Collaborate with client-facing and operational teams to ensure efficient service delivery and alignment with business objectives.
What are you expected to bring?
- Previous professional experience within a Corporate Services Provider (CSP) or Fund Administration business is essential.
- Proven experience in operations management, business operations or a similar managerial position.
- Strong understanding of Malta’s regulated financial services environment and relevant regulatory expectations.
- Experience coordinating operational processes and initiatives across multiple departments.
- A good understanding of governance, internal controls, operational risk and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Previous involvement in regulatory inspections, audit preparation or operational remediation activities would be highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, operational transformation or organisational change.
- Strong leadership, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- A proactive, commercially aware and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
