Senior Security Network Engineer
What is Expected of You
- Design, plan, implement, configure, and maintain network and security infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and fine-tune IT systems to ensure peak performance and availability.
- Write and maintain system documentation and functional specifications.
- Continuously identify and recommend improvements to infrastructure, processes, and security posture.
- Collaborate with technical teams on system design, architecture, and evaluation.
- Ensure systems meet performance, availability, and security standards through continuous improvement.
- Analyze security architecture and propose robust security solutions.
- Develop, manage, and maintain all network and security systems.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and exercises.
- Handle both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
- Share knowledge and maintain effective collaboration within the Technology team.
- Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively assess systems and networks for vulnerabilities and risks.
- Detect, test, and resolve threats, including system malfunctions and cyberattacks.
- Administer firewalls, routers, VPNs, and security tools as part of core infrastructure management.
What You Are Expected to Bring
- A recognized academic qualification (MQF Level 6 or higher) in ICT, networking, or information security, or a comparable professional qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ICT with a focus on enterprise networking and security.
- Strong skills in configuring firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and managing security protocols.
- Proven experience in performing risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ability to monitor network performance and resolve security or uptime issues promptly.
- Proficiency in managing authentication systems, including multi-factor authentication and access control lists.
- Competence in incident response, post-incident analysis, and implementing preventative measures.
- Candidates with Microsoft MS-101 and MS-500 certifications will be given preference.
- Applicants lacking formal qualifications but with 10+ years of relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
