Our client, a well-established Malta-based public-sector institution operating within the financial services sector, is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect – Enterprise Applications to lead the technical design, development and enhancement of its business-critical workflow and case-management platforms.
What is expected of you?
- Design technical solutions for enterprise workflows, case-management applications, data models and system integrations.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable and secure technical designs.
- Lead hands-on development of complex application components, integrations and reusable solutions.
- Establish development standards and review code and technical designs produced by internal developers and external partners.
- Evaluate technical solutions, implementation risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Support application releases, deployments, platform upgrades and performance optimisation.
- Investigate complex technical incidents and provide Level 3 application support.
- Collaborate with IT teams on application security, infrastructure, identity management and integrations.
- Mentor developers, facilitate knowledge transfer and contribute to continuous technical improvement.
- Evaluate emerging platform capabilities and AI-assisted development tools.
What are you expected to bring?
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in enterprise application development and technical solution design.
- An MQF/NQF Level 6 or higher qualification in Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or a widely recognised equivalent professional certification. Alternatively, candidates with at least 15 years of relevant experience may be considered without these qualifications.
- Substantial hands-on experience designing and developing enterprise applications using workflow, case-management, low-code or comparable platforms.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, REST APIs, systems integration, application security and release processes.
- Proven experience establishing development standards and reviewing other developers' or suppliers' code and technical work.
- Experience supporting live, business-critical applications and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Strong technical leadership, architectural decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor developers and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous PEGA experience, particularly Constellation, or PEGA Senior System Architect (SSA) certification or above would be considered a strong advantage.
- Experience in regulated environments, DevOps or enterprise platform upgrades would be considered an asset.
