What is expected of you?
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product enquiries, providing accurate information and recommendations.
- Process sales transactions efficiently using the point of sale system, handling cash and card payments accurately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop floor, ensuring products are neatly displayed and shelves are well stocked.
- Receive and unpack new stock deliveries, checking for discrepancies and arranging items according to merchandising guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock counts and labelling.
- Handle customer complaints and returns professionally, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere, collaborating with colleagues to achieve sales targets and operational goals.
What are you expected to bring?
- Demonstrable customer satisfaction orientation, with a proactive and helpful approach.
- Proficiency in basic PC knowledge for operating point of sale systems and other retail software.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling transactions and managing stock.
- Solid mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and calculations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by retail operations.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.
