CeekTalent, in partnership with a well-established architectural company, is seeking a Structural Engineer to design new projects, alterations, and redevelopments. Use your construction expertise and advanced drawing skills to create functional, safe, sustainable, and visually appealing structures, provide end-to-end technical and tendering support, and oversee construction to ensure durability and quality
What is expected of you?
- Plan, design, research, and manage client projects, applying expertise in structural engineering, construction detailing, building procedures, zoning regulations, building codes, and materials/systems
- Support the preparation of feasibility studies, planning documents, valuations, and proposal submissions
- Conduct or oversee research on materials and building systems, and assist in coordinating and preparing project specifications
- Perform desktop and site-based research, prepare estimates of works, and compile Bills of Quantities
- Prepare structural calculations and detailed drawings, ensuring the correct materials are selected for new builds, renovations, or conversions
- Develop work plans, recommend task prioritization, and provide technical guidance to clients and contractors regarding project timelines
- Support site construction teams and contractors by advising on structural issues and responding to queries during construction
- Evaluate and certify completed work, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and accuracy of quantities
- Perform any additional duties required within the scope of structural engineering projects
What are you expected to bring?
- Accredited and recognized MQF Level 7 degree in Structural Engineering
- Preferred Warrant to practice as a Perit in Malta
- Minimum of two years post-graduate professional experience
- Skilled in using AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong technical and engineering abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good experience in client engagement and relationship management
- Clear understanding of approval processes and regulatory requirements
- Able to attend site meetings and inspections, and accurately record minutes or reports
