Ceek Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established hospitality group operating a portfolio of high-quality restaurants in Malta. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join a dynamic kitchen team known for consistency, authenticity, and high culinary standards.
What is expected of you?
- Support the Sous Chef and Chef Tournant within the assigned kitchen section
- Prepare sushi and related dishes according to approved recipes, quality standards, and required quantities
- Preserve the authenticity and integrity of recipes served in the restaurant
- Optimise preparation and cooking processes with a focus on speed, precision, and quality
- Ensure all health, safety, and food hygiene standards are strictly followed
- Comply with HACCP regulations and internal food safety procedures
- Engage with guests when required, explaining menu items and promoting featured dishes
- Participate in training and development initiatives
- Promote teamwork and maintain a cooperative, positive kitchen environment
- Operate within the department’s established budget framework
What are you expected to bring?
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of sushi preparation, ingredients, and techniques
- Understanding of authentic ingredients and suitable substitutes
- Valid food handler licence
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail and passion for food quality and innovation
- Flexibility to work shifts in a fast-paced kitchen environment
